Moonscape
A cup of warm milk and honey, I gaze from kitchen window at the nearly full moon. Bright and luminous sphere partially hidden behind American elm, it warms the cool night sky. Light as ancient as ancestors, as ancient as the earth itself.
So glad to be awake at this dark hour to receive the clarity and promise of this light. It reminds me that I’m not alone.
Keep me current with life’s changes. Let me know that my own breath and heart are worthy of prayer even as I pray for others and for the world. Even though I can’t always see you, you are always there in the darkness warming my sky.
